ABOUT THE FEDERAL PACIFIC PANEL

Federal Pacific Panels (FPE) were installed in many homes in the 1950’s until the1980’s. They were predominately used on the western half of the United States but were popular throughout the country. Most home builders stick to equipment that they are comfortable with when building a new home.

If many of the houses in your neighborhood have FPE panels installed, chances are you do as well. FPE panels come in different shapes and sizes, and sometimes names (ex. FPE, FPE Stab-lok, Federal Electric, etc). FPE panels are notorious for having numerous safety hazards.

If you have a Federal Pacific Panel in your home, you should consider replacing it with a newer and/or safer panel. If you would like any additional information on the safety risks of Federal Pacific Panels, you can find it at either of these informative websites.
